The goal of Service and Outreach is to provide an opportunity for parishioners to work together with a common mission of giving back in a variety of ways. Time and Talent are always welcome – plus it is a great way to meet new people and get involved!
Both St. Mary’s and St. Pius X have a strong commitment to service to our community and those in need. Each parish has many ways to get involved. Trash Bashers clean up the York Road corridor; contact Lance Bendann for details.
St. Vincent de Paul society has been at St. Mary’s since 1864 and has been continuously feeding the poor and needy of the neighborhood. On the last Saturday of each month, a van outreach program takes place. Contact Mary Louise Petrik for information.
The History Committee meets on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. Contact the parish office for more details.
The Social Action committee supports various charities with their efforts. Contact Mary Toler if you’d like to learn more.
The Giving Garden was built to provide fresh vegetables to the those less fortunate. Contact Elizabeth Wagner if you would like to get involved.
Both parishes provide Our Daily Bread casseroles on a monthly basis.
Provides macaroni and cheese casseroles to Our Daily Bread on the first and third Mondays of each month. There are several options for helping in this way.
